Innovations Designed to Restore Health, Humanity & the Environment

        Concluded on

        17th September 2018

        Catch Out Our Event Highlights
      • Restorative Innovation is

        An Innovation Economic Model

Restorative Innovation is an innovation theory that forms the basis of a robust innovation economic model that is used to predict & explain a certain pattern of innovation-driven growth for innovative solutions that does not harm our health, humanity and the environment.

        A Movement

To transform how entrepreneurial business leaders should think about innovation and to advocate for the use of Restorative Innovation as a unifying innovation principle to not only guide these leaders in their innovation practice but to positively inspire & influence how innovation & entrepreneurship is viewed by the general public.

      • "Restorative Innovation is a framework & an innovation model that refers to new strategies, ventures, products and concepts that are designed to restore health, humanity & the environment in addition to creating & capturing a promise of value for the consumer."

      • Doing Good for Our Health, Humanity &

the Environment is a Collective Effort

        and it starts with...

        People Like You and Me

        Who Have a Latent Need

To be a conscientious consumer that wants the best for ourselves (health), others (humanity) & the planet (environment).

        Entrepreneurial Business Leaders

Who Wants to Make the World a Better Place

By innovating and introducing an alternative solution to new or existing problems while ensuring that these solutions do not harm our health, humanity & the environment.

      • So How Does it Work?

We believe its a 3 Step Process.

        Stage 1

Understanding the Latent Needs within Us

We all have a latent need to be a conscientious consumer – to treat ourselves to nutritious foods, to maintain a small carbon footprint, and to maintain a healthy body. However, the goods and services which meet these conscientious qualities are generally far more expensive or are difficult to find. As a result, we anchor ourselves to what is mass produced & widely available.

        Stage 2

Innovate on the Key Dimensions to Drive Affordability & User Adoption

Entrepreneurial business leaders aim to solve these problems by introducing innovative solutions that are beneficial to our health, humanity & the environment and are subsequently innovating to increase capacity, availability, production or removal of constraints and to increase the efficiency of the supply chain by removing unnecessary cost, improving the economy of scale or increase convenience & accessibility. All of these factors can be achieved much faster with increased consumer adoption.

        Stage 3

        Proliferation & Restoration

By improving efficiencies in the production, capacity & the supply chain, these conscientious choices will be able to gradually enter the affordable price zone which would invite more consumers with the latent needs to adopt the innovation. The near-mass adoption will further lower the cost of consumption, providing everyone access to the good choices and allowing the restorative effects to proliferate.

      • Principles of Restorative Innovation

These 3 principles help us determine if a particular innovation is a Restorative Innovation.

        1

        Impact-Driven Leaders

Restorative Innovation solutions are always championed by entrepreneurial leaders who deeply care about doing good for our health, humanity & the environment.

They are passionate and intrinsically driven by the scale of the impact their innovative solution can bring to make the world a better place and they prioritize their contribution to the betterment of society over the scale of potential earnings.

        2

        Superior Attributes

As compared to disruptive innovation whereby the product quality of the newly introduced innovation is often much inferior and hence, much affordable and accessible, impact-driven restorative innovation leaders want the best for their consumers and will not compromise on the product quality.

Careful thoughts and product design considerations are introduced in the product development phase and only the best and most appropriate materials are incorporated into the final product. This ensures that the newly introduced innovation achieves its purpose without harming our health, humanity & the environment.

        3

        Higher Initial True Cost

Superior attributes in a newly introduced innovation would result in a higher initial true cost of production. In most instances, the higher true cost of the innovation will be directly translated to a higher starting price point.

However, some entrepreneurial leaders may introduce their innovative solutions at a lower price point in efforts to hasten consumer adoption. Gradually, with greater consumer adoption, the efficiency of the production and supply chain will improve and that would translate to a lower true production cost.
